Users can upload notes in formats like LaTeX, PDF, DOCX, or JPEG, including handwritten notes. The platform employs DONUT OCR for multi-line text extraction, OpenAI’s GPT-4.0 for lecture-style text generation, and Meta’s BART transformer for summarization. A Flask-based Python backend, integrated with MongoDB Atlas, manages note storage and audio file generation via Google Cloud TTS. The ReactJS frontend, styled with Chakra UI, ensures a seamless user experience. Overcoming challenges like optimizing OCR with DONUT and handling large text inputs for BART, Notesify empowers students to study collaboratively and efficiently. Future plans include evolving Notesify into a Spotify-like platform for sharing and discovering lecture playlists tailored to individual learning needs.
